Dirk Kuyt hit a brace as Liverpool boosted their top four hopes with a 2-0 victory over Tottenham on Wednesday night.

The Holland international took his tally to eight for the season, slotting home a twice taken penalty in injury-time after he had opened the scoring with a sixth minute drive.

It means the Reds move up into sixth place and are now just one point behind their opponents, who remain fourth.
