Liverpool 0 - 2 Arsenal BPL 2012/13 Match Highlight


Liverpool were forced to swallow the bitter pill defeated Arsenal at Anfield Stadium, Sunday (02/09/2012). Each of these goals from Lukas Podolski and Santi Cazorla led Arsenal grabbed his first victory this season.


Shown at home, Liverpool tried to master the game. Steven Gerrard did have control of the ball at the 53 early action. However, their attacks are not harmful to the Arsenal defense. Liverpool are able to do eight kicks at goal, but none were on target.

Arsenal also had trouble breaking into the opponent's defense. In fact, "the Gunners' only able to release five kicks at goal. Even so, it was Arsenal who went ahead in the 31st minute. A pass from Cazorla, immediately followed by either by Lukas Podolski. Although guarded by Glen Johnson, Podolski was able to send the ball into the Liverpool goal, without being able to be driven goalkeeper Pepe Reina.

Liverpool tried to get up. In the 38th minute, Raheem Sterling actually had a chance to equalize. He did the kick from the right side of Arsenal's defense, but the ball still hit the goalpost.

A minute later, a series of attacks Liverpool produce chaos in front of the Arsenal goal, but still not produce anything.

Precisely Arsenal almost added a goal through a counter-attack. Unfortunately, Olivier Giroud who one on one with Pepe Reina,  kick the ball in and out. Until the first half ended, Arsenal still lead 1-0.

Entering the second half, Arsenal almost doubles position. Carl Jenkinson were pushed up, hard fired Liverpool into the top corner. Lucky, Reina able to save the ball.

Liverpool look could not do much, started to change the composition of players. Nuri Sahin pulled out in exchange for Jonjo Shelvey in the 67th minute. Brendan Rodgers seems to want more attack to achieve the equalizer.

Instead of making a goal for the score, Anfield fell silent again. In the 69th minute, slick collaboration Cazorla and Podolski can be completed the first name by kicking left foot along the ground. Cazorla shot the ball was about Reina, but the goalkeeper to deflect the ball into his own goal.

Four minutes from time, Liverpool likely to minimize the position. Unfortunately, the action is forwarded Shelvey hard kick was blocked by Vito Mannone. Failed to find a goal chance Liverpool. Until the game was over, the score remained 2-0 to Arsenal.
